Owner Background & Experience

Mike Hess is the Owner and General Contractor of Hess Homes. Mike founded the company in the Houston Heights in 1986 after completing his first ground-up remodel on his family's personal home. After the success of his first home remodel, word of mouth spread and Mike quickly recognized an unfilled niche of clients who sought high-end remodeling, and eventually superior quality custom homes, delivered on time and on budget.

However, the Hess Homes building experience didn't end there. Hess Homes believed in the power and value of relationships. Mike Hess has always taken a long-term approach with his clients; building homes and forging enduring relationships with his customers that stand the test of time. Every relationship, whether new or old, matters to every member of the Hess Home team. It is this commitment that differentiates Hess Homes from their competition and what keeps their clients coming back.
