Kelly and I would like to offer our unqualified, enthusiastic recommendation for [Hess Homes]. My wife and I have had the privilege of working with [Hess Homes] on several occasions over the past seven years. Kelly and I moved to the Garden Oaks area over ten years ago. Our first Garden Oaks house was a vintage 1940's 2 bedroom 1 bathroom bungalow. While our bungalow had tons of charm, it was simply too small after adding our first child and beloved Great Dane. After interviewing a number of remodeling companies, we selected [Hess Homes] for our ambitious remodeling project. Needless to say, we were extremely satisfied with [Hess Homes] work. The work crews were extremely professional, always kept scheduled appointments, and minimized the interruption to our lives. The quality of the remodeling job was superb. When we sold our house several years later, a number of the prospective buyers commented that the quality of the remodeling work at our house was in a class by its self compared to other homes for sale in Garden Oaks.
When our remodeled bungalow grew too small again, we decided to buy another home in Garden Oaks. Four months after moving into our new home, we were awoken at 5:00 am by a loud crash of lightning. Tragically, lightning hit the second floor of our house, causing a fire that burned for several hours and virtually destroyed our new home. The firefighters cut a six foot hole in the side of our house as part of putting the fire out. With rain pouring inside the house, it was essential that we close the hole in our house to avoid further damage. We called [Hess Homes] at 7:30 in the morning, and within a half an hour, they had a work crew at our house with all the materials to close the house which the crew did in the pouring rain. Rebuilding our custom home with [Hess Homes] was a fantastic experience, especially compared to the horrible experience we had with the original "builder" of our house. [Hess Homes] builds & remodels homes with an incredible attention to detail that should be standard in custom homes, but is, nevertheless, often severely lacking. Moreover, the quality of [Hess Homes] work is beyond compare.

In the spring of 2008 we made the decision to hire a company to remodel our existing one car attached garage into a larger open kitchen. In the process, we interviewed and got bids from multiple reputable remodeling companies.
